The eighth edition of the ACO Musto Skiff 2017 World Championships has gathered together 64 regatta racers of 13 different nationalities in Majorca. The regatta was held from 26 May-4 June at Club Nàutic S’Arenal, located in Palma Bay, and ended with the proclamation of the German Frithjof Schwerdt as the ACO Musto Skiff world champion.

During the race, the changes in the wind direction gave the participants the chance to gain (and also lose) places with respect to their opponents.

With wind speeds of up to 25 knots, the competition was a very athletic event for the racers.

During the last of the competition races, the leaders changed direction in order to withstand the pressure of the fleet, which gave rise to some brilliant overtaking operations.
